VivoPower (NASDAQ:VVPR) Refocuses on AI Computing, Monetizes Solar Assets

LONDON, United Kingdom — December 23, 2025 — Leads & Copy — VivoPower International PLC (NASDAQ: VVPR) is strategically refocusing its global resources on its Power-to-X strategy, prioritizing the higher-margin AI computational market. The company plans to monetize its legacy U.S. solar development sites to reinvest in sovereign AI compute infrastructure.

VivoPower, a B Corp-certified global sustainable energy solutions group, aims to capitalize on the surge in demand from AI hyperscalers for sustainable power. The Power-to-X strategy, first announced in 2021, involves vertical integration by energy-intensive industries to control power infrastructure and land. Initially, digital asset mining was a key use case, but computational AI now offers better returns.

VivoPower’s strategy is supported by two operating platforms: Caret Digital and Vivo Federation. These platforms have demonstrated that controlling power, land, and sovereign-grade counterparties is crucial for next-generation compute infrastructure.

The company is concentrating on “non-crowded” sovereign markets, including Southeast Asia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and select EU markets, where grid access is a major bottleneck for AI Hyperscalers and where VivoPower has established relationships. VivoPower is in advanced talks to acquire energized data centers and strategic power land, aiming to become a “Sovereign AI Infrastructure Landlord.”

VivoPower is reassessing its 682MW U.S. solar development portfolio due to the increased demand for low-cost, sustainable power from AI Hyperscalers. The company intends to divest these assets to reinvest capital into its high-growth Sovereign AI hubs. While behind-the-meter power use cases may exist, there is no guarantee of monetization.

Founded in 2014 and listed on Nasdaq since 2016, VivoPower operates in the United Kingdom, Australia, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Its business units include Tembo, Caret Digital, and Vivo Federation. Tembo focuses on electric solutions for customized fleet applications, while Caret Digital targets renewable power use cases like digital asset mining. Vivo Federation manages the digital asset arm, focusing on XRPL-based blockchain applications and Ripple Labs shares.

Across its business units, VivoPower aims to align its platform behind its Power-to-X opportunity: Sovereign AI computing.
