HAMPTON, N.H. — October 31, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Unitil Corporation (NYSE:UTL) has completed its purchase of Maine Natural Gas Company from Avangrid Enterprises, Inc.
The $86 million purchase, plus $7.1 million for estimated working capital, was funded through a term loan from Scotiabank and existing funds. Maine Natural serves about 6,300 customers in nine communities, including Augusta, with 230 miles of distribution mains. Unitil now serves about 213,300 customers across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
