Vancouver, BC — September 2, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Newport Exploration Ltd. has announced the receipt of its after-tax 2.5% Gross Overriding Royalty (GOR) payment from Beach Energy Ltd. for the May–July 2025 quarter. The gross royalty income for the quarter was AUD$635,069, with Newport receiving AUD$444,550 net of a 30% Australian withholding tax (AUD$190,519).
Newport reports approximately CDN$2.8 million in its Treasury, comprising cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments, with no debt. The company has a 2.5% GOR over licenses in the Cooper Basin, Australia, operated by Beach, with no time limit or expiry date.
Newport advises shareholders and potential investors to refer to materials released independently by Beach and Santos Ltd for information on the exploration, development, and potential production of the licenses subject to Newport’s GOR. Newport receives its GOR from Beach, which is not a reporting issuer in Canada.
The company currently has 105,579,874 common shares issued and outstanding.
