Capacitor Metals Engages SRK Consulting for Upper Fir Tantalum & Niobium Deposit Scoping Study

February 5, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Capacitor Metals Corp. has engaged SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc. to prepare a scoping study for the Upper Fir Tantalum & Niobium Deposit.

The deposit is the most advanced on Capacitor’s Blue River Property, located within the North Thompson River Valley of east-central British Columbia.

The scoping study will focus primarily on the positive economic metrics detailed in the 2011 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) completed by AMEC for the Blue River Project, and updated in 2015 by Amec, Foster, Wheeler. The SRK study will factor in the difference in currency exchange over the last decade and the significantly higher tantalum spot market price.

Capacitor President Chris Grove said the company is excited to be advancing this asset at this time with an increased opportunity due to changed global dynamics for tantalum.

SRK is an independent, international consulting practice that provides advice and solutions to clients, mainly from earth and water resource industries. For mining projects, SRK offers services from exploration through feasibility, mine planning, production, and mine closure. Formed in 1974, SRK employs more than 1,700 professionals in over 44 offices on 6 continents.

Capacitor Metals Corp. is focused on developing the Upper Fir Tantalum & Niobium Deposit on the company’s Blue River Tantalum-Niobium project in British Columbia, Canada. The company is positioning itself to be one of the lowest-cost, ethically sourced tantalum-niobium producers globally.

The deposit has had $34M CAD of work completed, including 271 drill holes totaling over 59,000 meters drilled, a historical Preliminary Economic Assessment (“PEA”) released, community consultations, and preliminary metallurgical and environmental work.

The Blue River Property is a fully serviced site in mining-friendly British Columbia, Canada with infrastructure close at hand, including rail, paved road, water, and power adjacent to the project site. The Blue River Property contains three known deposits of tantalum and niobium and an additional 20+ known exploration targets.
