Windfall Geotek Announces Successful Modeling of Strange Lake REE Deposit Using AI
Brossard, Québec — February 5, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Windfall Geotek Inc. has successfully modeled and extracted the geophysical and geochemical “digital signature” for the Strange Lake Rare Earth Element (REE) Deposit.
Windfall Geotek (CSE: WIN; OTCQB: WINKF), a company specializing in mineral discovery through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning since 2005, made the announcement utilizing its proprietary AI platform to complete an extensive computational analysis of publicly available datasets. This analysis aimed to fingerprint the signature of the REE Strange Lake deposit, currently held by Torngat Metals, located on the provincial border between Québec and Newfoundland and Labrador.
The project focused on the Strange Lake complex. Key technical highlights include the AI system’s integration of multi-dimensional public datasets, encompassing high-resolution magnetics and topography data, along with drillhole and surficial rock sample geochemistry. By isolating specific geological descriptors of the Strange Lake REE mineralization, the company has established a high-fidelity Digital Discovery Pattern.
This proprietary signature was deployed across the regional land package to identify high-probability anomalies, strategically expanding the company’s exploration footprint in the region.
According to Windfall Geotek, the ability to reverse-engineer a digital signature from a known world-class deposit using exclusively public data validates the predictive power of its AI. The company states that this objective approach minimizes human bias and significantly reduces the search space for the next phase of exploration.
Windfall identified five high-priority REE target zones in December 2025, utilizing its proprietary AI System, a strong historical exploration database, and SIGEOM data covering 13,682 km². The AI System analyzed over 2,519 historical REE bearing assays, predominantly from the Strange Lake deposit, employing advanced machine-learning algorithms to recognize geological patterns and contexts associated with mineralization. In total, the Windfall AI System evaluated 5,473,252 cells measuring 50m x 50m. According to the company, this data-driven approach significantly decreases exploration time and costs compared to traditional exploration methodologies.
Michel Fontaine, President and CEO of Windfall Geotek, stated that the company’s new Hybrid AI-Services model marks a strategic breakthrough, demonstrating that mineral exploration has officially entered the digital era. By maintaining core client services while simultaneously applying the technology across 10 distinct projects, whether owned by Windfall or its partners, Fontaine says the company is demonstrating the unrivaled accuracy of its predictive modeling.
Fontaine added that the efficiency of the system remains a massive competitive advantage: Windfall recently processed a 13,682 Square km area, reducing the search zone by 99% to isolate a digital signature matching the Strange Lake Rare Earth deposit. He also stated that the true enterprise value of Windfall lies in its targets and that the company is transforming raw data into high-value assets and are now moving to get boots on the ground to validate these 10 targets immediately.
Grigor Heba, Chief Geologist of Windfall Geotek and a “qualified person” as defined by National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical information presented in the release.
Windfall Geotek is described in the release as a global leader in AI-driven mineral exploration, turning complex geoscience data into high-potential discoveries. The company is expanding its expertise into life-saving applications, including landmine and UXO detection.
