Clean Energy Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: CETY) and Qymera Global Energy Ltd. (QGE) are collaborating to commercialize the DeepFyre™ geothermal power system for island nations and emerging markets. The system combines CETY’s heat-to-power and Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technologies with Qymera’s DeepFyre™ monobore geothermal platform.
The companies aim to offer modular 5-MW to 50-MW units, targeting a Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) below $0.08 per kWh. Pilot projects are planned in the Caribbean and Central America, followed by larger installations in Southeast Asia and Africa.
CETY CEO Kam Mahdi said the partnership opens a new frontier for geothermal energy, while Qymera Global Energy Ltd. CEO Darrell Dous added that the collaboration provides a complete solution from subsurface design to surface power generation.
The global geothermal market is expected to grow to over $12 billion by 2033, but currently represents less than 0.5% of global electricity generation. The CETY–Qymera collaboration aims to tap into this potential by reducing drilling costs and project development time.
