November 3, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) has announced the appointment of Amit R. Ghai as Controller of Chevron, effective March 1, 2026. Ghai succeeds Alana K. Knowles, who is retiring in April 2026 after 38 years with the company.
Ghai will oversee Chevron’s accounting policy, financial reporting, internal controls, global business services, and digital finance teams. He will report to Eimear Bonner, Chevron’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Bonner noted Ghai’s financial background, leadership, and ability to work across teams.
Ghai joined Chevron in 2004 and currently serves as assistant controller, leading financial strategy and ensuring reporting integrity. Knowles began her career at Chevron in 1988 and has held leadership roles in finance, accounting, treasury, and investor relations.
Mike Wirth, Chevron’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, acknowledged Knowles’ contributions to the company.
