Toronto, Ontario — February 17, 2026 — Leads & Copy — The Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE) has released its market statistics for January 2026, revealing a surge in trading activity and significant capital raising by listed companies.
Trading volume on the CSE reached 2.0 billion shares in January, marking the first time in four years that monthly trading volume has exceeded two billion shares. The total trading value of CSE listed securities amounted to $1.0 billion.
CSE issuers successfully completed 83 financings, raising an aggregate of $446 million. Bright Minds Biosciences Inc. completed one of the largest financings for a CSE-listed company in several months, raising US$175 million.
The CSE welcomed three new companies to its listings, bringing the total number of listed securities to 737 as of January 31, 2026.
Richard Carleton, CEO of the CSE, attributed the increased trading volume to strong investor interest in securities of emerging companies. He anticipates continued momentum, driven by high gold prices and other market conditions.
The CSE will participate in the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention in Toronto from March 1-4. The CSE team will be at booth #2542. Richard Carleton will present on March 1 at 10:30 a.m., discussing financing trends and information for prospective CSE issuers and investors.
Red Cloud Financial Services will host its Pre-PDAC 2026 Mining Showcase in Toronto on February 26-27, where the CSE is a sponsor. Several CSE-listed companies including Foremost Clean Energy Ltd. (FAT), Gold Hunter Resources Inc. (HUNT), LaFleur Minerals Inc. (LFLR), Loyalist Exploration Limited (PNGC), McFarlane Lake Mining Limited (MLM), Myriad Uranium Corp. (M), Pasinex Resources Limited (PSE), PTX Metals Inc. (PTX), Strathmore Plus Uranium Corp. (SUU), Talisker Resources Ltd. (TSK), and Western Uranium & Vanadium Corp. (WUC) are participating.
The Canadian Security Traders Association (CSTA) is holding its annual winter vendor fair at the TMX Market Centre in Toronto on February 19. The CSE is sponsoring the event.
The CSE team will host a “Going Public and Raising Capital in Canada” event in Miami, Florida on February 26. Presenters include Phillip Shum, the CSE’s Director of Listings Development, and Michael Bluestein (Corporate Counsel LLP), a CSE board member. David Stein, CEO of Kuya Silver Corporation (KUYA), and Sophy Cesar, CEO of Upside Gold Corp. (UG) will provide listed company perspectives. The event is presented by Cap Circle.
New listings in January 2026 included Upside Gold Corp. (UG), Titan Technology Corp. (TTC), and Alaros Exploration Inc. (ALAR).
