SASKATOON, Saskatchewan — November 7, 2025 — Leads & Copy — MAX Power Mining Corp. has started drilling Canada’s first natural hydrogen well at the Lawson target, located near Central Butte on the Genesis Trend in Southern Saskatchewan.
The drilling at Lawson is the first of a multi-well program on MAX Power’s permitted land package for natural hydrogen exploration and development. Stampede Drilling is performing the drilling with a tele-double rig and a crew of 24 working in two 12-hour shifts.
According to MAX Power CEO Mansoor Jan, this marks a milestone for the company. Jan said that each team member has shown dedication and expertise in this project.
Jan added that the company looks forward to sharing the story of the Genesis Trend and its land package at a natural hydrogen event in Paris next week. He said he is confident that MAX Power’s science-driven approach and preparations will bring success at Genesis and elsewhere.
MAX Power’s drilling of Canada’s first natural hydrogen well marks a new chapter in domestic energy exploration. The company is focused on hydrogen beneath Saskatchewan’s Genesis Trend and other land packages comprising 1.3 million acres, with another 5.7 million acres under application. The program highlights Canada’s role in resource innovation.
MAX Power is also advancing a strategic investment for gross proceeds of $5,000,000 at a price of $0.30 per unit with a Southeast Asian conglomerate. Each unit consists of one common share and one-half of one common share purchase warrant, with each whole warrant exercisable at $0.45 for 24 months. The parties have finalized the investor rights and shareholder agreement, which provides for a board seat, conditional on the investor maintaining at least 7% ownership. Closing of the investment remains on track near-term, as per the most recent update on October 28, 2025, subject to customary closing conditions, including applicable regulatory approvals.
