November 4, 2025 — TotalEnergies and Data4 have signed a 10-year agreement, starting in January 2026, for TotalEnergies to supply renewable electricity to Data4’s sites in Spain. TotalEnergies will provide 610 GWh of Clean Firm Power from Spanish wind and solar farms, equivalent to 30 MW capacity.
Data4, a European data center operator, is investing nearly €2 billion by 2030 to expand its Spanish campuses. This agreement supports Data4’s commitment to renewable energy.
TotalEnergies will use wind and solar farms to generate the electricity. TotalEnergies aims for 12% profitability in the power sector with integrated power portfolio combining renewable and flexible assets
Data4 aims to meet the growing demand and position Madrid as a European digital hub, supporting Data4’s sustainable and innovative data center designs. By partnering with TotalEnergies, Data4 ensures a stable, long-term supply of carbon-free electricity for its clients.
The PPA with Data4 follows similar contracts signed by TotalEnergies with STMicroelectronics, Saint-Gobain, Air Liquide, Amazon, LyondellBasell, Merck, Microsoft, Orange and Sasol.
